Calculate discount amount and final price
The Discount Calculator tells you how much you save and what you actually pay after a percentage discount. Enter the original price and the discount percentage to see the saving and the final price. It is handy for sale shopping, comparing offers and pricing your own products.
Discount amount = original price × discount % ÷ 100. Final price = original price − discount amount.
Apply them one after another: use the final price of the first discount as the original price for the second. Two discounts are not simply added together.
Discount amount = (original price × discount %) ÷ 100, and final price = original price − discount amount. Enter the price and the discount percentage to see how much you save and what you actually pay.
This tool applies one discount at a time. For stacked offers such as "20% off plus an extra 10% off", apply the discounts one after the other. They do not add up to 30%.
Example 1: A pair of shoes is listed at ₹2,499 with 30% off. Discount = ₹749.70, so you pay ₹1,749.30.
Example 2 (stacked discounts): A ₹1,000 item gets 20% off, then an extra 10% off. After the first discount it costs ₹800, and after the second it costs ₹720. That is an effective discount of 28%, not 30%.
Divide the sale price by (1 − discount ÷ 100). If a shirt costs ₹1,400 after 30% off, the original price was 1,400 ÷ 0.70 = ₹2,000.
Discount % = (original − sale) ÷ original × 100. From ₹500 to ₹400 is a 20% discount.
The second discount is applied to the already reduced price. Two 10% discounts together equal 19%.
No. A discount must be between 0% and 100%.
