Compress your images quickly and download the smaller file.

The Image Compressor reduces the file size of your pictures so they load faster, upload more easily and take less storage. Choose a quality level from high quality to maximum compression and compare the size before and after. The image is processed in your browser, so it is not uploaded to a server.
Higher compression gives a smaller file but can reduce detail. Medium quality is a good balance for most photos.
No. The compression happens locally in your browser, so your image stays on your device.
Choose an image, pick a quality level and press Compress Image. The tool redraws the image on a canvas inside your browser and saves it again as a JPEG at the chosen quality. Four levels are offered: high (90%), medium (70%, recommended), low (50%) and very low (30%). Images wider than 2,000 pixels are also scaled down to that width, which cuts the file size further.
Your image is processed on your device and is not uploaded to a server. The result downloads as compressed-image.jpg, and the page shows the original and compressed sizes.
A 3.5 MB phone photo compressed at the medium level often becomes well below 1 MB, depending on the image. A photo with a lot of fine detail shrinks less than a simple picture with large flat areas.
Many online forms and portals ask for a photo or a signature below a size such as 100 KB or 200 KB. Try medium first and move to a lower level if the file is still too large.
No. The file is read and compressed in your browser, and it stays on your device.
Medium is a good balance for most photos. Use high if quality matters most and very low only when size is the priority.
You can select an image file, but the output is saved as a JPEG.
Images that are already compressed, or that are small in dimensions, have little room to shrink. Try a lower quality setting.
